Pastor Yilson Acosta, Pastor of Spanish Ministry
Pastor
Yilson Acosta - Pastor of
our Spanish Congregations in our Middletown and
Winchester locations, was born and raised in
Venezuela, South America. He got saved at the age of
18 while visiting a Word of Life Camp close to
Caracas, and studied the Bible at their Institute
located deep in the Amazon jungle. He worked as a
translator when people from Christian Fellowship
Church were in Venezuela and he was also involved in
their VBS programs. He spent alot of time working
with his church's youth group in Puerto Ayacucho and
teaching Spanish to New Tribes Missionaries before
coming to Virginia in June of 2001. After coming to
Virginia, he was a teacher for the ESL program at
Shenandoah Valley Baptist Church. He also helped to
start their Spanish Sunday School programs before
becoming Pastor of our Spanish Congregation. He is
married to Lisa Dawson and they have two children,
