Pastor Steve Dawson – Pastor of Missions
Self-description: I see myself as a person that can be called on as long it is within my abilities. I see myself as a servant. I want to make everyone else’s job run smoother.
Wants to be known as: Just Steve, a man who loves Jesus. A man who loves to serve Him. Jungle man is ok, too.
Being the Mission pastor means I get to: have a great chance to further the kingdom all over the world. My mission field has been shut to our work and with the great potential here at COV I have a huge opportunity to be a part of a great work.
Your life before TCOV: we were missionaries in Venezuela where my I grew up. We lived in a village where Yanomamo Indians live. I traveled the rivers reaching out to other villages where there are no missionaries.
You knew there was no turning back when: When I felt the call in response to Pastor Jay’s request.
You come to work everyday because: I made a commitment and feel it is what the Lord would have me do.
You're energized by: I believe there is a huge potential here at Church of the Valley.
You cringe when you see Christians: Not living the ‘life’ completely outside of church. They need to live the same life away from church as they do in church.
