Being the Minister of Pastoral Care means I get to: Be with our people in times of pain, suffering, victory and rejoicing; all to the glory and honor of our Savior Jesus Christ
Your life before TCOV: 45 years as a Pastor; serving 8 churches in VA, WVA and Ohio. The last ten years as an interim Pastor at small churches who could not afford to pay a Pastor.
You knew there was no turning back when: I sold my house, my cars and set off with my wife and three kids for Bible College.
You come to work everyday because: It is a commitment to God.
You’re energized by: Seeing God working in peoples lives. From the miracles to His sustaining power, we serve a mighty God !!
You cringe when you see Christians: Behave like the world with no thought or conviction as to how it injures the cause of Christ.

Pastor Charles Jarrett - is Minister of Pastoral Care at The Church of
the Valley. Chuck has actively been engaged in
the pastoral ministry since 1964 and is married
to Marie Pettry Jarrett for nearly 52 years.
They are the proud parents of 5 children, 12
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Chuck
attended Appalachian Bible College, Pioneer
Theological Seminary, and Wheaton College, and
holds a Doctorate of Ministry degree from
Emanuel Baptist University in Charlotte NC.
Chuck served pastorates in the Free Will Baptist
churches in West Virginia and Ohio, and joined
the Church of the Nazarene in 1968 and pastored
churches in Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia.
Chuck has also been involved in church planting,
establishing new congregations in Tippecanoe
Ohio; Roncevert, West Virginia; and Front Royal,
Virginia. In addition, Chuck has been engaged in
evangelism conducting revivals in West Virginia,
Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina. Chuck and
Marie are excited about the opportunity to serve
God in the pastoral care capacity at The Church
of the Valley!
